Our Story
Westernex is a private, family business that began life in 1989. From a very small beginning, we have grown to be one of the largest Mining, Exploration and Geology Supply organisations in the world. Today, Westernex flagship line of products – including core trays, sample bags, marking paint and geological tools – are exported to mining corporations, exploration companies, geological teams and supply chains across the world, often in incredibly remote places.

With Quotes sent the same day or within 24 hours and goods sent to the site within 24 to 48 hours. From opening the warehouse out of hours, meeting someone or delivering to an airport out of hours with a last-minute requirement, to driving hundreds of kilometres to deliver an urgent item to a mine site or exploration camp. Our staff always make an effort to satisfy the customers.
Safety: In 2014 Westernex achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification further underlining our focus on Quality Assurance.
Quality: Long-term relationships with factories, many of which produce exclusively for us, that allow us to exercise control over quality and to constantly work with them to improve and innovate. Many other suppliers have been providing us with service and quality for over 30 years.
Integrity: Our success as a company can only be sustained if that success is mutual to our clients our subcontractors, our suppliers and our team.
Our Strengths
Our Staff, Our Greatest Asset: We have a fantastic team in all of our locations, Perth, Kalgoorlie, Brisbane, Mt Isa, Cape Town and our office in Accra. They all have the same goal to serve and please our customers and it is them who have made us to pass many milestones and be who we are now.
Flexible Dispatch Methods: Depending on your needs and/or urgency Westernex Pty Ltd offers a range of dispatch methods by air, sea or road to suit your requirements and to ensure that freight is received on time. We have our own fleet of delivery vehicles and trucks to offer delivery direct to your transport company in any of the metro areas of our branches.
Our Stockholding: Unlike a procurement company we stock over 16,000 line items in our warehouses. We have a 6,000 m2 warehouse in Perth, 1500 m2 warehouse in Kalgoorlie, 1000 m2 warehouse in Brisbane, 1000 m2 warehouse in Mt Isa and a 1200 m2 warehouse in Cape Town. We can generally supply your requirements directly from our stock.
